We're spending this week at the seaside, to check out game maker meet-up, Develop. And with so many amateur game makers in town, it seemed like the perfect time to hold a Big Indie Pitch event.

Then again, we don't need an excuse to get a bunch of game designers to come show us their cool games, and grovel for attention, love, and mercy.

Second place prize actually went to a previous BIP winner: the bonkers party game mega collection Mucho Party. Developer GlobZ was back, this time with a huge update to the game.

Ten new games are to be added. One is competitive Frogger where both players try to hop between logs to reach the other side of the screen - while also dodging each other. Another is a one-tap platformer where both players race up a tower.

And the final one we got to see is a dogfight game that controls a little like Retry, where you do loop-de-loops and hope to blast the crap out of each other. In total, the game will now have 40 mini-games.

Plus, the developer will change the set-up to free to try instead of premium. You'll get a few mini-games for free and can then upgrade to the full package if you want to shell out.

As always, this is a manic game and instantly enjoyable. It's also perfect for this type of event as the games can be explained in seconds and played immediately - and everyone can pick it up and start competing.

Mucho Party is out now. The update, and the price drop, will land next week.

For a chance to win thousands of dollars of advertising and to see your game in an article like this one, register now for the Big Indie Pitch at Gamescom and the Very Big Indie Pitch at PGC Helsinki.

Endlatestmodsapk.com
I'm sure one or two of you out there have forgotten about Dark Souls Remastered coming to the Switch, but for those who resisted the lure of its other versions you'll soon be getting your hands on it. October 19th 2018 is the date - pencil it in your diaries.
We have kept you waiting long enough, and now are pleased to announcethat the Nintendo Switch version of DARK SOULS REMASTERED will bereleased on the 19th October, 2018.Finally we hope you can look forward to playing Dark Souls wherever, whenever you wish. pic.twitter.com/F8z8AjUIPA— FROMSOFTWARE (@fromsoftware_pr) August 14, 2018 As FROMSOFTWARE announced on its Twitter (above), the lengthy wait will be over in only a couple of months. Dark Souls Remastered brings the brutally hard RPG to Nintendo Switch meaning you can fight bad guys, monsters, and bosses on the go.

The reason this version most appeals to me is that, thanks to the Switch's capabilities, you can pause, stop, and start up the game wherever you are in it and not lose a ton of progress. I know that's a cheater's way out, but I have no shame and I'm okay with it.

As a gamer I like to think I'm pretty patient... in everything but boss fights. I expect wrist straps and protective casing may be an essential before hopping into this one for any destroyers out there.

Personally, I'll never be able to play the game in public since, as I've mentioned before, I'm a gentle insulter in terms of game-related anger. At least I won't be tearing out any bus seats, I guess. Am I excited though? Hell yeah.

Praise the Sun.

Of wealth, of filial fear, law, kindred, fame!
A PHILOSOPHER witnessed from the shore the shipwreck of a vessel, of which the crew and passengers were all drowned. He inveighed against the injustice of Providence, which would for the sake of one criminal perchance sailing in the ship allow so many innocent persons to perish. As he was indulging in these reflections, he found himself surrounded by a whole army of Ants, near whose nest he was standing. One of them climbed up and stung him, and he immediately trampled them all to death with his foot. Mercury presented himself, and striking the Philosopher with his wand, said, "And are you indeed to make yourself a judge of the dealings of Providence, who hast thyself in a similar manner treated these poor Ants?'
QuestBall is an upcoming sports game that's mixed with an action RPG that's set to release for both iOS and Android on 20th June, so this Saturday. It's been developed by English indie developer Stuart Wallace who is also known as Left is Right.

The titular QuestBall is the name of an ancient sport that you'll spend your time with the game playing. It's been lost to history but back when the game is set, it used to be commonly played between legendary warriors from Ancient Britain and Ireland such as Queen Boudica.

There are eight of these figures to choose from in total, with all of the characters being unlocked by purchasing the game's single IAP. Once you've picked your hero you'll then head out on a tour of the British Isles where you'll play QuestBall against royalty, outlaws, giants and gods.

Essentially, the ancient sport of QuestBall is tennis but with magic thrown in to make things both more interesting and dangerous for the participants. That means you can expect to see a plethora of power-ups that might be able to turn the tide of the match in your favour.

BlitzKeep is a game that takes elements from pinball and Pachinko and stuffs them into an RPG format.

We've had wizards playing golf in dungeons, and pushed knights through dungeons Pachinko-style, so why not pinball?

The idea is to aim your knight through the goblin-filled dungeons to pick up gear, increasing their strength, and attack enemies.

If you're not careful with your aim your knight will die. And the game's creator says you can expect them to die a lot.

There's only so many enemies a knight can take on at once, you know? Luckily, BlitzKeep has a quick restart time so you can get back to slicing up enemies without too much frustration.

The idea is to work your way through 10 kingdoms, each of which has a king at its end who has been turned into a horrible monster. You'll need to upgrade the knight quite a bit before taking them on.

Currently, though, BlitzKeep only has five kingdoms for you to beat. The other five will be coming soon.

Don't let that put you off, though. There should be plenty of challenge here for you.

You can purchase BlitzKeep for £2.99 / $3.99 on the App Store right now.

And now to tempt all liberty procured.

As first pointed out by a member of our App Army, developer Zach Gage’s acclaimed arcade game Pocket-Run Pool has quietly made its way to Android. With this being an 8-ball pool game, you’d be forgiven for thinking that all you need to do is pot all the balls. In reality, where you sink the balls matters most, as every hole is worth a different number of points depending on a few factors.

The points you earn are based on the number of the ball x the pocket multiplier, and the multiplier rotates around the table once a ball is sunk. According to the listed rules on the game’s App Store page, you’ll also have to worry about losing a life every time you scratch your ball or miss a shot.

There are also different modes for you to try out, including High Stakes and Insta-Tournament, and you can even play against yourself if you want to. For rabid collectors out there, High Stakes mode lets you amass neat new pool cues and striking colour schemes.

We reviewed Pocket-Run Pool when it first launched last year, praising it for being ‘a brilliantly judged single-player reimagining of everyone's favourite pub game’, before going on to award it a gold rating. We’ve also really enjoyed developer Zach Gage’s previous games, including Flipflop Solitaire and Really Bad Chess.

If you missed out on this one when it first arrived on iOS, it sounds like it’s absolutely worth checking out now that’s it’s popped up on Android. It’s worth noting that the game’s free to play with IAPs available for purchase. You can download Pocket-Run Pool now over on both the App Store and Google Play.
Check out our news section to discover the latest, and greatest, games.

I am a monster. I'm also a cute space kitty, but I am a monster, mostly. I'll tell you why...

While playing Space Kitty Puzzle, it took me at least four levels to realise that you're supposed to save the orange alien blobs rather than shoot them.

I'm so sorry you adorable, screaming weirdos.

But, also, I'm a cat and, in my experience, cats tend to enjoy ripping up smaller creatures at any given opportunity. So I'm blaming space kitty for this grave mistake.

Anyway, I'm telling you this so that you don't make the same mistake as I did when playing this free puzzle game (the tutorial doesn't make it clear that you're supposed to avoid shooting the aliens, you see).

In Space Kitty Puzzle, the idea is to shoot the blocks with a cat silhouette printed on them to turn the direction of gravity.
