"I think I would have found Miss Elizabeth Russell a `kindred spirit,'" she murmured when she was alone in her room. There were two windows in it; the dormer one looked out on the lower harbor and the sand-bar and the Four Winds light.

Juicy Jelly Barrel Blast is not only a bit of a mouthful but also a pretty damn addictive endless action game, and it's headed to mobile soon. We're loving simplicity today, and here's another example of an excellent use of one-touch mechanics. The aim of the game is to fire your little jelly blob from barrel to barrel by tapping at the right moment in the barrel's rotation – yes, some of the barrels spin, just to make the game even easier. Not only are its levels reminiscent of Donkey Kong's barrel sequences, its choice of vibrant colour and clean design make it a very pretty game to look at. It's a classic arcade game in which you're chasing the tail of your previous high-score, giving us that addictive, unable-to-put-the-damn-thing-down experience we all love and hate.Juicy Jelly Barrel Blast is slated to release sometime in October according to its forum page and will be coming to iOS and Android.Miga Town: My World (University )

Fantasy adventure movie The Princess Bride was released back in 1987, making it 28 years old this year.Despite the movie's age, an official The Princess Bride iOS game by Gameblend Studios came out this week.As you'd expect, it takes scenes from the film and turns them into action arcade games. There are four mini-games, in fact: surviving the shrieking eels, climbing the Cliffs of Insanity, a sword duel with Inigo, and wrestling with Fezzik (played by actual wrestler Andre the Giant in the film). The games are illustrated in a colourful cartoon art style that brings further animation and character to the movie's scenes. If nothing else, the visuals might entice kids to play it even if they're unfamiliar with the source.
"I believe in what I heard a minister once call `a mighty and malignant and INTELLIGENT power of evil working in the universe,'" he said solemnly. "I do THAT, Cornelia. You can call it the devil, or the `principle of evil,' or the Old Scratch, or any name you like. It's THERE, and all the infidels and heretics in the world can't argue it away, any more'n they can argue God away. It's there, and it's working. But, mind you, Cornelia, I believe it's going to get the worst of it in the long run."
PewDiePie's gross-out dungeon crawler, Poopdie, has finally launched for iOS after Apple rejected it earlier this month for featuring "crude imagery and sound effect [sic] which may disgust users", according to developer Bulbware. The initial ruling caused a small internet uproar among PewDiePie fans, who have been waiting to play Poopdie for years now. The game appears to take plenty of inspiration from Ed McMillen's classic roguelike, The Binding of Isaac. While it might be similarly gross, Poopdie does seem to be a lot more lighthearted, with a big focus on scatological humour.Download Poopdie by PewDiePie and Bulbware today (it's free - and that's a great price)! Poopdie, a small worm-like creature, is seemingly one of the few who still has the ability to do both, much to the disgust of his aggressive neighbours.Combat sees you relying on Poopdie's "poopcrafting" skills to mix together different foods, poop them out, then have them function as specific unit types. It's all very silly and (hopefully) fun.Ex-Ed Ric previewed it late last year, saying that "Poopdie is a solid dungeon crawler with an aesthetic to design a very particular audience. And that audience, based on the laughter booming through the booth as the story was explained to passers-by, will absolutely love it."
A LOVER'S COMPLAINTCrash Bandicoot: On the Run has now opened for pre-registration following yesterday's Twitter tease. King's mobile runner sees Crash and sister Coco reunite to take down the dastardly Doctor Neo Cortex and his dimension-hopping minions. You'll spend your time racing through familiar locations from the mainline games, including the Lost City and Turtle Woods, while bumping into the likes of Dingodile, Scorporilla, Mutagen Ant, and Nitrus Brio.Crash Bandicoot: On the Run! Coming directly to your phone. Classic bosses, new levels and custom skins. Get ready to run wild! ???? #CrashOnTheRun pic.twitter.com/UZIM1zq6j8— Crash Bandicoot: On the Run (@CrashOnTheRun) July 9, 2020Levels are seemingly non-linear, giving you alternate routes to explore and secrets to hunt down, and everything you earn during missions can be funnelled back into the base-building portion of the game. Here, you'll help Coco to gradually upgrade your base of operations in order to produce new weaponry and item types. You might remember that the game initially soft-launched in Malaysia back in April, though King soon confirmed that it was really more of a small-scale playtest. Back then, we put out a handy beginner's guide with all the info and tips you'll need to get started.
A LION, greatly desiring to capture a Bull, and yet afraid to attack him on account of his great size, resorted to a trick to ensure his destruction. He approached the Bull and said, "I have slain a fine sheep, my friend; and if you will come home and partake of him with me, I shall be delighted to have your company." The Lion said this in the hope that, as the Bull was in the act of reclining to eat, he might attack him to advantage, and make his meal on him. The Bull, on approaching the Lion's den, saw the huge spits and giant caldrons, and no sign whatever of the sheep, and, without saying a word, quietly took his departure. The Lion inquired why he went off so abruptly without a word of salutation to his host, who had not given him any cause for offense. "I have reasons enough," said the Bull. "I see no indication whatever of your having slaughtered a sheep, while I do see very plainly every preparation for your dining on a bull."Book of Demons is a hack and slash title with deck-building elements that originally left Early Access on PC in 2018. Today, developers Thing Trunk have announced it will be heading for iPad on 13th February where it will be called Book of Demons: Tablet Edition. If you're unfamiliar with Book of Demons, it's a procedurally generated dungeon crawler where players can decide the length of any quest using a system called Flexiscope. This essentially means that if you're a bit more pushed for time you can do a shorter dungeon and the developers say you will get a similar 'game flow' as someone that does an hour-long dungeon.

While we had plenty of new dates and games to be excited about in Nintendo's latest Direct, it seems that some were featured afterwards but not properly announced.Indeed, both Lovers in a Dangerous Spacetime and Crypt of the Necrodancer are coming "soon" to the Nintendo Switch's Eshop.Lovers in a Dangerous Spacetime is a celebrated indie title that sees you cooperate locally or online with another person in order to man a ship through some dangerous environments. It's really hard but should also be right at home with the Switch's joycons.
