Oh hello there, how you doing? Welcome to our weekly round up of some of the games that have hit the App Store this week.
We always try and cover the biggest games of the week, but that means some things are going to slip under our radar.
But we intend to correct that by giving you a weekly best of the rest, ensuring you know exactly what's worth your cash and precious memory space.

If you spot anything that you think deserves mentioning, then let us know in the comments.
Cobe The Gallery
This is a colour-switching puzzler. You're given an image made up of various blocks, and you have to swipe the screen to turn them all the same hue.

You've got a limited amount of swipes to do it in though, and figuring out which blocks to change when is all the batte.

It's reasonably good looking, quite a challenge, but it's not the most original idea out there. On the plus side, it's not a gem matching puzzler, but you probably won't find yourself spending too much time with it.

6/10
Shards of Magic
Another in the long line of auto-playing RPGs available on the App Store. Build a party, smash some monsters in the face, make googly eyes at the pretty graphics.

There's not much here in the way of depth, with the only control you have other the battle involving where your characters stand and when you unleash your most powerful attacks.

It's basically like watching Final Fantasy summons on repeat. It's very free to play as well, but if that's the sort of thing that floats your boat it's shiny and pretty engaging.

7/10
Enemy Strike 2
A clunky gallery shooter that feels pretty underdone. You stand behind a wall and blast a variety of sci-fi creatures with some pretty uninteresting weaponry.

It doesn't look that great, the shooting isn't all that satisfying, and while there are a couple of interesting ideas within the level structure, it's all painfully generic.

If you want to shoot things in the face and you don't want to spend any money doing it, there are plenty of more interesting shooters on the App Store.

4/10
Eternal Arena
A midcore hacky slashy dungeon crawler that's basically about mashing the screen. Kill stuff, grab loot, upgrade your characters. It's a familiar loop and it's well presented.

There's not much beyond that core slashy murdering though, but it's reasonably solid, and being able to switch between different characters keeps things interesting.

It's free to play, and while it's a far cry from the likes of Diablo, there's at least enough meat on its bones to mean you might smash things up for a while.

6/10
Word²
A word puzzler that's part word-search, part letter-based sudoku. It's slightly confusing at first, but once it clicks it's a decent amount of fun.

It does get a bit repetitive though, and while there's some charm to it, often you'll finish a level by chance rather than skill.

Once you get to the four letter word grids, things get even more complex, and while there's a decent hint system the level of difficulty does take the sheen off things.

6/10

&#;FAREWELL TO THE HOUSE OF DREAMS

 kanpo.ccThe deep-green em'rald, in whose fresh regard

 "Well, there's something to be said for large families," said Miss Cornelia, with a sigh. "I was an only child for eight years and I did long for a brother and sister. Mother told me to pray for one--and pray I did, believe ME. Well, one day Aunt Nellie came to me and said, `Cornelia, there is a little brother for you upstairs in your ma's room. You can go up and see him.' I was so excited and delighted I just flew upstairs. And old Mrs. Flagg lifted up the baby for me to see. Lord, Anne, dearie, I never was so disappointed in my life. You see, I'd been praying for A BROTHER TWO YEARS OLDER THAN MYSELF."&#;

There was a strange solemnity about the little scene. Anne and Leslie bowed as those receiving a benediction. Gilbert suddenly brushed his hand over his eyes; Owen Ford was rapt as one who can see visions. All were silent for a space. The little house of dreams added another poignant and unforgettable moment to its store of memories.

While everyone's enjoying their bank holiday weekend, Supercell is hard at work on a new Clash Royale balance update that looks set to shake up defensive gameplay.

The update, which is set to hit on Tuesday, May 3rd, decreases the survivability of the Mortar, Bomb Tower, Cannon, and Elixir Collector while simultaneously increasing the effective range of the Royal Giant.

Meanwhile, the Mirror now, er, mirrors all card rarities to their Tournament Rules level, with a max level Mirror now mirroring max level cards. Outside was a fine blue night. A sparkling ribbon of moonlight garlanded the gulf. Inside the bar the harbor shone like a pavement of pearl. They stood before the door and waited--Captain Jim with his ripe, full experience, Marshall Elliott in his vigorous but empty middle life, Gilbert and Anne with their precious memories and exquisite hopes, Leslie with her record of starved years and her hopeless future. The clock on the little shelf above the fireplace struck twelve.
I haven't even got past the first phase in Phases: Infinite Zero. I don't expect to any time soon, either.

This new hardcore platformer is about as tough as they come.

All it involves doing is touching the screen to move a bouncing ball of light to the right. You let go to make it stop. If you touch any darkness you die instantly.

So the hard part is moving forward at the right time, jumping angle, and speed. Most of the time you don't get a chance to even think about what you're doing.

If you jump too far then there is no way of going back. You're probably going to die.

Death resets you to the beginning of the furthest phase you've reached. There are 40 levels. Again, I'm struggling to get past the first one and I'm having a blast already.

I just love these challenging platformers, and what makes this one especially great is its one-touch controls.

Also, what makes Phases: Infinite Zero a little more exciting as you replay the same bit over and over are the physics.

Everything in this stark and stylish world can behave in new and peculiar ways with each replay. It certainly keeps you on your toes when boxes are falling on you or spikes are rolling down hills.
