The mystery of the sea, the fascination of far lands, the lure of adventure, the laughter of the world--his hearers felt and realised them all. Astral Defense is a retro-enthused pixel art shoot ‘em up from a new and exciting dev team called Pixel Pajama Studios. It clearly draws a lot of inspiration from classics of the genre like Galaga, though, from what I’ve played of it, Astral Defense has its own sense of style and distinct ideas.Its wave-based shooting action, by default, is controlled via a mix of motion controls for movement and touchscreen taps. You can, if you want, switch over to entirely touchscreen controls, but I reckon the motion controls work just as well and, in a weird way, enhance the zero-G feel to the ship’s movement.Antihero is a fast-paced 4X strategy game with a setting that I've never seen the genre enter before.Instead of space, a land of high fantasy, or a historical recreation of the Earth (a la Civilization); Antihero takes place in a Dickensian city.Yep, it's all gas-lit streets, corrupt authority, and Victorian sensibilities.It's also beautiful, looking a little like Don't Starve, in a way. Except it shouldn't be viewed through different games as it's distinctively the work of Corpse Craft creator Tim Conkling.

The official game of the biggest Let's Player and most subscribed YouTuber PewDiePie (aka Felix Kjellberg) has got a name.It's to be called PewDiePie: Legend of the Brofist and the plan is to bring it to iOS and Android (and probably PC) this summer.It's a 2D action-platformer in which you play as PewDiePie or his partner CutiePie, along with their two pugs Edgar and Maya.The story hasn't been revealed yet but we do know that you'll be travelling across an overworld comprised of places including an island shaped like a duck and large glaciers.The video in which PewDiePie announced the game's name showed off one of the game's ice levels.
