    OWEN FORD'S CONFESSION

    Blue Wizard Digital has put together a teaser trailer for their upcoming slash-em-up Slayaway Camp and also released some new game details.It's predictably gross - in its own bloody, blocky way - but has a fantastic soundtrack and a glorious looking 80's filter which even puts Hotline Miami to shame.Jason Kapalka, co-founder of Popcap says he 'felt very limited ... as we couldn't have truly graphic violence in something like Bejeweled.''With this game, I've finally been able to bring extreme horror to the puzzle genre.'Slayaway Camp puts you in control of a series of killers and the goal is to slay and eliminate all teenagers in each level by completing logic puzzlesTo beat a level, teens must be lured into grisly traps, such as spike pits, bonfires, and even a woodchipper. Yikes.The game takes place at a youth camp built on a Native burial ground and the kids start pulling pranks on one another. One, of course, goes horribly wrong, leaving the victimised camper thirsting for vengeance.You can see the teaser trailer below. It's definitely worth a peek as it's quite swish.Slayaway Camp will hit both iOS and Android this summer.

    Collab events have become a tradition for hybrid RPG Puzzle and Dragons and its latest crossover, with anime saga Fate/stay night [Heaven's Feel], runs until the end of this week.During the promotion, players who log on will gain access to an exclusive Memorial Egg Machine and can buy themed bundles. Characters from the Fate trilogy will also feature in Puzzle and Dragons throughout the event, and here are three you should check out while you still have the chance.Shirou EmiyaShirou Emiya is the chief protagonist in Fate/stay night who serves as the Master of Saber during the Fifth Holy Grail War. In Puzzle and Dragons, he’s one of the strongest leaders in the business.To get the most out of Shirou, pair him up with characters that have Fire and Light attributes. His Assist Evolution, Enhanced Wooden Sword, is super-powerful and will complement them well.Shirou is resistant against Jammers and Binding attacks, and his Active Skill is worth three combos.Servant, SaberSaber is a Knight of the Sword summoned for the Holy Grail War, and this gives her all of the right skills to take on a leadership role in Puzzle and Dragons. As she can use any Attribute on her team, Saber is about as versatile as they come.You’ll need a balanced party if you want to get the most out of the Servant, so try to assemble a line-up that includes Fire, Water, Wood, Light, and Dark attributes.Her Ultimate Evolution form, Servant, Saber Alter, really packs a punch, but you’ll only see the full effect if your party’s HP is below 50%. Still, Saber is a fine choice for experienced players and newcomers alike.GilgameshGilgamesh is the Archer-class Servant of Tokiomi Tohsaka in the Fourth Holy Grail War, and in Puzzle and Dragons, he comes with a killer feature: the ability to change the puzzle grid from a 5x6 board to a 7x6 playing field. Not only will this help you get your mitts on more orbs, the larger arena means there’s the potential to pull off additional combos.The only drawback to including Gilgamesh in your party is that he disables Skyfall Combos, which basically means there will be no random falling combos added at the end of your turn.But these three are not the only characters joining Puzzle and Dragons with this collab. You should also keep an eye out for Rin Tohsaka, Illyasviel von Einzbern, Shinji Matou, Servant, Archer to name just a few of the exciting additions to the game.Puzzle and Dragons is available to download from Google Play and the App Store. The Fate/stay night [Heaven's Feel] will run until 10 February, so why not try these characters out right now?&#;

    newcoolmathgames.comSOME FISHERMEN were out trawling their nets. Perceiving them to be very heavy, they danced about for joy and supposed that they had taken a large catch. When they had dragged the nets to the shore they found but few fish: the nets were full of sand and stones, and the men were beyond measure cast downso much at the disappointment which had befallen them, but because they had formed such very different expectations. One of their company, an old man, said, "Let us cease lamenting, my mates, for, as it seems to me, sorrow is always the twin sister of joy; and it was only to be looked for that we, who just now were over-rejoiced, should next have something to make us sad."

    That shall prefer and undertake my troth."

    BATOVI Games Studio's Charrua Soccer is the latest title to hit Apple Arcade. It's a fast-paced football game inspired by South America's Charrúa people who, 500 years ago, were a fierce and unrelenting warrior tribe of Uruguayan, Argentinian, and Brazilian descent."Today, the term "Garra Charrua" captures their spirit of bravery, determination, and strength, and is epitomized in Uruguayan football", said Roque Papa, owner and director of BATOVI Games Studio.There are three different modes to get stuck into: single-player, two-player PvP, and Party Mode, which acts as a group competition. The various teams are said to offer their own game styles with, for example, "Catenaccio from Italy or Tiki-Taka like Barcelona FC". Capturing the fighting spirit of Uruguayan football was just one of BATOVI's goals with Charrua Soccer.They also wanted to make a game that was colourful, accessible, and could be enjoyed by just about anyone, in any country. While the core gameplay is said to be fairly easy to pick up and learn, there's also a few layers of depth below the surface that should keep players going for longer.Charrua Soccer boasts a fairly appealing art style that aims to resemble older games and evoke nostalgia in the player. Helping the presentation are some fun animations, including an overhead kick, scorpion kick, scissors kick, diving header, and more.This is the second football title to hit Apple Arcade following Sociable Soccer's launch late last year. I recently interviewed Jon Hare, one of the minds behind Sensible Soccer and Sociable Soccer, at Pocket Gamer Connects London last month. He detailed the game's development and his team's plans for the future.Charrua Soccer is now available for download to all Apple Arcade subscribers. It'll be interesting to see how it differs from Sociable Soccer and other iOS football games.On the hunt for some top-tier sports games? Here are 25 of the very best for iPhone and iPadWith wit well blazoned, smiled, or made some moan.Magic: ManaStrike released its first update since launch last month introducing two new Planeswalkers. Now they're repeating that cycle almost one month later with an additional two Planeswalkers being added to the game. Their arrival coincides with the start of Vivien Season.As you can guess from the name of the new Magic Pass, one of those Planeswalkers will be Vivien Reid. She's a Green-aligned ranger who possess the power to summon spirits through her bow. Joining her will be the White/Blue mage Teferi who hails from Dominaria and has access to powerful time-based magic.

    Four new games have arrived on Apple's subscription service. You'll be able to enjoy Pac-Man Party Royale, Manifold Garden, Ballistic Baseball and Things That Go Bump as all four of them are available now for Apple Arcade.Manifold GardenManifold Garden was a known entity for a release today but I'm more than happy to be talking about it again. It's a first-person exploration game with puzzles that you'll have to solve by manipulating the laws of gravity around you. It has a beautiful art style that sets it apart from the already varied roster of Apple Arcade. It's inspired by a Dutch artist called Escher. Look him up too when you get a chance, he's done some awesome prints.Good day and happy Monday, one and all. It's hard to believe, but somehow October's appeared as if out of nowhere AND it's fallen on the start of a new week. I don't know about you, but I find that really satisfying.*Ahem*, on with our usual line-up, it's time to check out what sales are still live and worth your time. We don't know how long these games'll be going cheaper for, but we know they're a good deal.Whatever you fancy, whether it's an awesome adventure, cracking management sim, or something more strategic, have a lookie-look through this list to see if anything stands out.
